About us

We are experts in the field of stem cell donation. We look after DKMS donors and guide them successfully through their preliminary examinations and actual stem cell donations.

Both bone marrow and peripheral blood stem cell collections can be performed. The type of donation depends on the treatment of the patient and any medical indications on the donor's side. We also collect lymphocytes for the patients’ further treatment.

Our goal is to provide the best possible service to our donors while delivering high-quality cell products to patients that are treated in transplant centers worldwide.

Team and Scope

Highly specialized physicians and a dedicated nursing and coordination team facilitate around 15 stem cell collections per day in Cologne and Dresden. In addition, the DKMS Collection Center enables up to six bone marrow collections per week. Our team of experts allows us to carry out each collection with the necessary care and attention.

Quality assurance

Each collection is carried out in compliance with the highest standards. To ensure this primary objective, we have implemented a quality management system and our processes are all GMP compliant. We also have a 24/7 emergency management system.
