The DKMS Registry believes it has an obligation to support patients in these countries by providing them with easy access to DKMS donors recruited in their own country as well as to other DKMS and non-DKMS donors worldwide.
Currently, the DKMS Registry offers a special support program that focuses on transplant centers in South Africa, Chile and India. However, this service is not limited to transplant centers in these three countries: It applies to all transplant centers in need of access to unrelated donors. DKMS Registry can support these transplant centers in their search for matched unrelated donors for their patients.
In line with our standards, a positive evaluation of the transplant center by the DKMS Registry according to WMDA criteria is a prerequisite for participating in the support program. You can find more information about transplant center evaluation in our DKMS Operational User Guide.
