Family Donor Program

If a family donor lives in a different country than the patient, difficulties may occur as the family member may not be able to travel to the patient’s country. Here we can provide support as long as the family donor lives in a country with a DKMS donor center (Germany, Poland, the US, the UK, Chile, India or South Africa).

We can organize the blood stem cell donation locally in these countries and ensure that the blood stem cells safely and reliably reach your transplant clinic and your patient.

For family donors in countries without a DKMS location, we are happy to use our existing contacts and help to facilitate the collection between the relevant parties. If possible, we also try to bring these donors to a country with a DKMS location in order to collect the stem cells there. Please note that this might not be possible at the moment due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and the restrictions on travel and border crossings. Please contact us, and we will assess the situation on the basis of the current developments.
