The search needs to be activated before a registry or transplant center is able to initiate a request for a matched donor. Both the preliminary search and the activation of the search are free of charge at DKMS Registry.
Via email/fax
DKMS Registry accepts requests by fax (fax no: +49 7071 943 2299) or services@dkmsregistry.org for all pre-workup services. For requests by fax or email, we recommend using WMDA forms, but we also accept other forms as long as they contain the information needed to perform the requested task.
DKMS Registry will send a search report, consisting of DKMS donor matching results and details for the most relevant donors, within approximately one business day after receiving a preliminary search request.
Via Donor Navigator®
International registries and transplant centers that are registered users of DKMS Registry’s software Donor Navigator® can and are encouraged to initiate their donor searches and all subsequent requests on Donor Navigator®. We recommend this option if no EMDIS connection with DKMS Registry is possible.
The additional benefits for registered Donor Navigator® users comprise an overview of all cases of the respective registry, access to the updated progress of each request and a user-specific notification system both via email and within the software.
If you are interested in receiving further details about Donor Navigator®, please follow the link to our Donor Navigator® web application.
Via EMDIS
DKMS Registry is connected to several registries via EMDIS. Preliminary search requests as well as requests for Extended Typing (typing request), Confirmatory Typing (Sample request), Infectious Disease Marker testing (IDM request) or donor reservations can be received via EMDIS.
If you would like to establish an EMDIS connection with DKMS Registry, please follow the link to our service section.
