Further Requests for Special Cases

One donor for two recipients

If one of our DKMS donors is a suitable match for two recipients, for example, twins or matching siblings, our donor can donate for both patients at the same time, provided that the donor mobilizes the required cell count for both patients. Donations for two recipients at the same time are therefore usually only possible for pediatric patients.

Patients with HIV

For patients who are additionally infected with HIV, we are able to search for a donor with a CCR5 homozygous delta32 mutation so that you are able to treat the patient’s HIV infection simultaneously.

Other special cases

For any other special cases, please get in touch with us and we will do everything we can to support you and your patient.

How to request a workup of a DKMS donor for special cases

When requesting a DKMS donor for any of the special cases mentioned above, please inform us about your requirements via email or make a note in the corresponding workup form.
